Vinson Palathingal

Vinson Palathingal was born in Kumbalam, an island in the Vembanadu Lake, south of Thevara in Ernakulam District of Kerala, India. A bbrilliant student from early on, Vinson completed his schooling at St.Thomas High School and Sacred Heart High School in Thevara with excellent grades. He graduated in 1988 and for the next 3 years worked as a Project Engineer at KITCO Ltd (Kerala Industrial and Technical Consultancy Organization) in Kochi and another year as a Site Engineer at Ali-Al Sehebani Associates in Al-Hofuf, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Vinson, then, embarked on beautiful adventure with his high-school sweetheart, Asha Mary Stephen, when they tied the knot in 1992. He was soon accepted at University of Reno for a masters degree in Civil Engineering, and Vinson and Asha made it to the shores of the United States and never looked back.

After graduating in 1995, Vinson gained excellent command in the Information Technology domain, mainly because of his time with the Maryland State Highway Administration, Metro Washington Council of Governments and FannieMae. In 1998 Vinson started his own IT business, Amaram Technology.

Amaram has built quite a reputation by providing ‘Direction and Control’ to its client-base in the ever-growing IT sphere. Currently,  it is tasked with providing IT Infrastructure Support Services to various Federal Government Agencies and major corporations in the United States.

In 2011, Vinson launched Amsco Global (American Merchandise Supply Company). An exporting business, supplying major American brands all over the world. Amsco has already been recognized and was the recipient of the ‘Small Business Exporter of the Year Award’ in 2013 from US Small Business Administration.

Vinson has always been greatly involved in the community. He is one of the most popular figures in the Malyalee community in the Washington Metropolitan area and currently serves as Vice President of FOMAA, the largest Malyalee-member organization in the United States.

In 2015, Vinson also started a political think, the Indo-American Center, with a vision to undertake expert research on policy issues that world is facing today. With a clear agenda to strengthen the emerging India-United States relation, the Indo-American Center aims to maximize growth, development, and prosperity between these two world powers.

These ventures and responsibilities keep Vinson extremely occupied. He, with much gumption, takes on these challenges and recognizes his duty to the Indian and American communities. But he still makes it a point to spend quality time with his wife, two sons, and other loved ones.
